Centre for Conscious Awareness - Canada

The Centre for Conscious Awareness, Canada showcased Arka Dhyana on December 1, 2007 at a Focus On Family Health Fair held by the South Asian Health Coalition.

The demonstration of Arka Dhyana - Touch and Sound Meditation was led by Bharti Patel. Bharti spoke of the importance of dhyana in areas of health and stress management, highlighting the importance of touch for drawing the natural, curative energy  from the deeper recesses of our bodies. The importance of incorporating Arka Dhyana in our daily life to help maintain a balance of our mind and body that promotes a healthy living was described.

The Health Fair was well attended by the public and also included the Mayor of the Town of Markham, Frank Scarpitti, who visited the CCA exhibition stand and had expressed an interest in the Arka Dhyana method. Members of the audience commented on the demonstration coming across to them as peaceful and having a calming effect.  Some also showed an interest in learning Arka Dhyana and the desire to have it taught to their community groups.  It was an enriching learning experience for the CCA members too.
