It was a very joyful and spiritual way of celebrating Srinivas Arka’s Birthday at Arka Foundation Centre in Mysore, with a free health care camp organized for school children from the village Kanniyanahundi. The Sun too celebrated and showered his greetings by radiating his warmth around, making it a bright and beautiful day. The children of the Kanniyanahundi village school arrived with their teachers and principal, who were happy to be in such peaceful serene surroundings. The village council member was also present on the occasion. Two reputed doctors readily agreed to participate in this community service and conducted thorough health checkups for the children on a one to one basis. The children maintained good discipline and were engaged in practising dhyana, singing devotional songs, narrating short stories, discussing subject topics of interest with the help of staff, volunteers and trustees of the foundation while waiting for their turn to be seen by the doctors. Prescribed medicine was given free of charge to those who needed the medicine. Refreshments and fruits were also served to everyone present. It was heartwarming to see the children beaming with delight and enjoyment. The school principal, teachers, village council member and the doctors were all pleased and appreciated the manner in which the event was organized. Arka Foundation members expressed profound thanks to the distinguished guests and children. It was an amazingly divine celebration ! |
